What is a Story Mentor?

Story Mentors are trusted adults who will support you in creating amazing writing!

They can help you:

  • unlock your imagination
  • get your ideas down
  • improve your confidence
  • make your writing amazing
  • discover your inner writer
  • write long stories
  • think outside the box
  • get unstuck
  • stop getting bored

To share your story or ask a question, click Ask a Mentor and then click the speech bubble to send a mentor a message.

You could ask:

  • What do you think of my story?
  • Can you help me edit?
  • I’m bored!
  • Does this make sense?
  • How do I make my character more interesting?
  • What should happen next?
  • What rhymes with orange?
  • I have no ideas – help!

Story Mentors will aim to answer your question within three days, and mostly much quicker than that.

They’ll never write your work for you, because they believe that your imagination is the best.

Story Mentors are passionate about writing, and trained by Ministry of Stories to give you good advice.

You don’t have to ask them anything, but whenever you save your story, a mentor can read it. They might even surprise you with some positive feedback about it!

Staying safe online

  • moderate all stories before they are published
